Brayer Time!

I like to follow Michelle Zindorf's blog and do some of her brayer tutorials. I brayered the background and then used a Michaels stampset called Splat for the stamping over the brayer. I embossed the images from CTMH Live Inspired stamp set and also used a Hero Arts word background stamp. The metal foundry, button, lace and waxy flax are all from CTMH.

Pink and Orange challenge layout

I did a pink and orange color layout for Fiskateers a couple weeks ago. Here is my layout using Always Remember stamp set and Target dimensional elements from Close to My Heart. My sister Marlene is a breast cancer survivor and always runs in the Race for the Cure in Helena.

Magnifique Christmas Card!

My friend Diane came over yesterday and we were playing around with Magnifique paper and the new inks from CTMH. I got out my new Adornable stamp set and we went to town creating. I love the flourish on this stamp set!

Sketch Challenge!

I tried a sketch challenge from Pencil Lines. I have tons of old pictures to scrapbook and thought this would be a fun challenge. 30 years ago we didn't take a lot of pictures, so I needed a sketch with just one picture on it. Here is my layout based on the sketch from Pencil Lines. I had just had 2 babies born 15 1/2 months apart and thought I was looking pretty good! It didn't last long as I had my third baby in 1982. Geesh, was I busy, 3 kids with the oldest 3 1/2 years old plus teaching school full time!

Summer!

We actually got to the high 80's yesterday! Summer is finally here. I am still pretty new at keeping a blog but hope to do better. Last night was a fun night at a Stampin' UP class. We made a great layout and 2 cards. I am looking for pictures for the layout and then I will share. In the meantime Stacy at Scrapbooking Cottage is giving away an Imaginisce collection called "Splash Dance". Go here and sign up for a chance to win some delicious paper. http://thescrapbookingcottage.blogspot.com/
(I couldn't get the insert link to work properly but just copy and paste! It's worth it)

Summer Vacation?!

I was asked to teach summer school and decided that I could always use a little extra money. LOL! Isn't that true of all of us! I am home anyway and it is only on Mon.-Wed. from 9-12 for 4 weeks. I can handle that. However, it does cut into my crafting and organizing time! Yesterday I set up 3 tables, one for each of my children and am now going through old pictures to organize and eventually get them into scrapbooks. I started with 3 paper boxes that I had stored Fair Projects from when they were little. A lot went into the garbage but I save the pictures and some artwork that I will put into albums.

Today I want to share a layout I did of my granddaughter with her first pair of glasses. I used my cricut to cut out some 5 petal flowers to make a 3 D flower. I liked the negative so well that I used that too in my layout. I used some crochet flower for center and sponged the edges. The 3 D flower was fun to make!

Second ever Blog Post!

I couldn't figure out how to make a blog post! LOL. I decided to start by signing in and voila! It worked, so here is my second blog post!

Mother's Day was a quiet day with rain during the morning. I decided to use my Fiskars Mint Condition squeeze punch and use it to make a tulip card! So here it is!
